Talklets: Enabling speech from a websiteThere is a unique service by Textic Ltd to help people with reading difficulties called Talklets. It can be seen and heard on the BDA, PATOSS, Dyslexia A2Z, The Dyslexia Association and other websites. Talklets provides a service where a suitably enabled website will be "spoken" to the reader on their machine. No special software needs to be installed on the client machine, as long as a the machine can play a common sound file type called an MP3 then you are ready to go. The latest Talklets Plus also has spoken translations with captioning on the fly. The user can choose from a variety of languages and still see the English website. Talklets for websites The deployment of Talklets can be a toolbar at the bottom of the web page or a toolbox embedded on each page. How much does it cost?
