Dr R.L. Cook
Chiropractor

The following article is based on extracts from literature supplied by Dr Cook to the WCDA Oct 2007.

Chiropractors specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of joints, particularly those of the spine and their effects upon the nervous system. Applied Kinesiology, a speciality within Chiropratic, deals specifically with the integraton of the nervous system and body functions.

Dr Cook has worked as a Chiropractor since 1976, and during the 1980's he learned various cranial techniques from the leaders in the field. This created an interest in treating specific learning difficultes and cranial problems both in babies and children.

Dr Cook reports that the application of treatment techniques to correct specific cranial faults and unique eye muscle faults found in dyslexics has lead to an astounding reversal of the many and varied problems found in the Dyslexic and Learning Disability Conditions. Patients often report positive results as early as the first or second treatments. In most cases a series of treatments is necessary to refine and stabilize inital corrections, this varies from person to person. The procedure is done by hand, and no drugs or other substances are ever used.

Once the corrections are made and stabilized, further treatment is rarely necessary. There are things which may cause destabilization such as subsequent high fever, some allergies, emotional and physical trauma particularly head injuries.

If you are interested in hearing about these treatments then please contact Dr Cook directly at the clinic.
