Special Meeting:
Education Cuts In Cumbria
The West Cumbria Dyslexia Association is holding a special meeting on the 17th March 2011 to discuss the planned cuts in education funding.
The Association has invited representatives of Cumbria Children's Services and Cumbria County Council to speak at the meeting and present up to date information on their plans. They will then take questions from the audience.
We are delighted to say the following speakers will attend.
- Caroline Sutton, Assistant Director Schools and Learning, Children's Services
- Duncan Fairbairn, Cabinet Member for Education
- The Senior Manager for Inclusive Learning (to be confirmed)
The proposals affect all aspects of children's education and so representatives of a wide range of concerned parties will be invited to the meeting. These include parents, AD/HD, blind, deaf, Dyspraxia, Autistism, SENCOs, teachers and Head Teachers.
ALL ARE WELCOME
The meeting will be held at the United Reformed Church, Market Place, Whitehaven, CA28 7HZ, starting at 7 p.m.
